Wednesday Pub Night Portland #32 - 7:30 at Flatbread Baking Company
Back to the Pub Night home page
On a good night, you could call it a comedy of errors.
Being the diligent PubNight planner that I am, I took it upon myself to
get a sneak preview at this week's PubNight location. I'll spare you
the details of the night, but let's just say that the service was a
little bizarre and the pizza (when it finally arrived) was sliced in
such a way as to make Jack the Ripper look like a surgeon. There were
probably 14 slices of varying shapes cut out of a 10 inch pie. However,
it tasted pretty good. And more importantly there was a pretty good
beer selection.
We also have a number of interesting things to celebrate, including:
the first day of summer
the summer solstice
the longest day of the year
Sarah's new job at the Waynfleet Academy
Petra's spirit award
Abby's last day at Navigator
Kristina's first bottom covering
Lora's 185 mile bike ride over the hazy, hot, humid weekend
So - raise a glass in celebration at:
Flatbread Baking Company, 72 Commercial Street (between Dry Dock & the
Casco Bay Lines ferry terminal)
at 7:30 PM
on Wednesday, June 21, 2000
And watch out the window for the 9:05 boat which will be bringing two or
three of us back from the island to PubNight.
See you Wednesday.
