Wednesday Pub Night Portland #30 - 7:00 at Beale Street BBQ

Back to the Pub Night home page

PubNighters and PubNight Wannabees,

This week's weekly soiree takes us over The Bridge into South Portland.
There's a new restaurant (a.k.a. pub?) on Waterman Drive (where The Old
Bridge used to let out). This week's celebrations include:

- a pretty darn good run of Jesus Christ Superstar
- 30 consecutive weeks of drinking (with one or two exceptions)
- the Gilligan's Island marathon (cast your vote on
http://www.Nick-at-nite.com - you might even get on the air)
- Marine Computer Systems' new office (future PubNight?) with great
harbor views
- Stuart making it home to Portland from California, despite United
Airlines' cancelling his flight
- The Skipper being appointed sheriff of the island
- the boat (Kristina, not the Minnow) being ready to host her springtime
painting party

So, in a somewhat maritime spirit, we'll cross Portland Harbor by bridge
or by boat and meet at:

- Beale Street BBQ
- at 7:00
- on Wendesday, June 7

Directions:
- make a left off the bridge to the "Waterfront Market" (it's neither on
the waterfront nor a market)
- make a left at the next light onto Waterman Drive
- Beale Street BBQ will be on your right with a big neon BBQ sign atop

(For those of you interested in the boat party, the marina is just a bit
further down the road. I'll be there all day Saturday and Sunday.
Anybody and everybody is welcome to drop by and help out in exchange for
FREE BEER & PIZZA.)

See you on Wednesday.

- Dan
