Wednesday Pub Night Portland #22 - 7:30 at DeMillo's Floating Restaurant

All that hype and no snow to show for it!

It's quite a morning here at MCS world headquarters. Sounds of welding
and grinding outside our loft as they build new steel docks for the
marina next door. On the ferry ride over this morning I saw the Coast
Guard's cutter Willow (a big boat) backing out of the state pier as we
approached the dock. The 30 year old Scotia Prince has returned to
Portland to start getting ready for its season, although it seems to be
named the Ia Prince now -- I guess one of the things they're doing to
get ready is fixing the sign and putting the Scot back in Scotia.

With all the activity on the waterfront, I suppose it's appropriate that
we chose DiMillo's Floating Restaurant as this week's PubNight:Portland
meeting place. For those of you brave enough to eat there - they offer
some early bird specials from 4:00 to 6:00. For the rest of you, it
might be a good idea to eat before you come.

The details:
The Pub: DiMillo's Floating Restaurant
Where it is: In the water off Commercial Street
When we'll meet: 7:30 PM tonight - Wednesday, April 12

In one other bit of marine activity for the week - It was this week in
1912 (April 14) that the Titanic hit an iceberg. Hopefully DiMillo's
won't have similar problems tonight.

Tonight's special event will be a cheese tasting! Hopefully, we'll get
to sample Heather's famous (or is it infamous) bourbon pub cheese.

See you tonight.
