Among the auspicious occasions to celebrate this week are -
the anniversary of the Three Mile Island nuclear accident (March 28,
1979)
and the sentencing of Charles Manson & co. (March 29, 1971)
Apparently Mr. Manson had convinced the members of his cult that the
Earth would be ruled by five angels - himself, and the four members of
the Beatles.
Hmmm. Only in California.
For those of you who waited patiently last week at PubNight - I'll share
with you why I never made it. My 6:30 accountant's appointment
stretched much longer than I thought when I accidentally deleted my
entire tax return right after we finished it! So I had to start again.
I did eventually make it to PubNight, but only after everyone had left.
So - we'll go from no Piltches last week (Stuart & Laura were busy
galavanting around Belgium, Holland, and France eating lots of mussels,
beer, and chocolate) to our usual complement of three Piltches.
We tried hard to find a place that specialized in Belgian beer for this
week, but the closest we could get was Sebago Brewing Company. (They
specialize in beer.)
