Wednesday Pub Night Portland #19 - 7:00 at The Armory

PubNighters of Maine:

Here's my observation of the week -- Hangovers last longer once you hit
30.

However, I expect that my hangover will be just about over by the time
Pub Night hits this week.

Being stuck in my isolated island getaway, I won't be able to surf the
Internet for all sorts of useless history items to send along in this
week's PubNight email. (Actually I suppose I could walk across the room
and plug in the phone line, but it's pretty comfy on the couch here.)

Last Wednesday, everybody offered me a number of suggestions about what
to mention in this week's email. Of course I forgot them all. In fact -
in a recent conversation I was told that we visited a number of places
last week. The conversation went something like this:

". . .and then we went to G'vannis"
"Oh yeah - I remember that. Good Scotch"
"And then we went to Amigos."
"Oh yeah - I think I actually drank Pabst Blue Ribbon."
"And then we went to the Old Port Tavern."
"Oh yeah - some kind of fruity umbrella drink, right?"
"And then we went to Gritty's"
"We went to Gritty's?????"

So this week - I'm thinking maybe something a little more tame.
