Wednesday Pub Night Portland #17 - 7:00 at Molly's

Did you know?
Duke Ellington was awarded a Medal of Honor by Richard Nixon on March 8,
1971
IBM released the second version of DOS (PC-DOS 2) on March 8, 1983
The first US combat troops landed in Vietnam on March 8, 1965
Lynn Redgrave was born on March 8, 1943
Nothing significant happened to Kevin Bacon on March 8.
Despite last week's no-show by guest PubPicker, Brad, we had a
successful PubNight:Portland debut at Erik's. This week, we continue a
PubNight tradition of selecting the finest pubs in town, from the top of
Portland (Top of the East) to the bottom of Portland (Erik's).
Tonight's festivities will be at Molly's. Last time I was at Molly's I
went home with a free Geary's T-shirt and Susan (a future PubNighter and
a soon to be Portlander) went home with free ski passes. (There was a
Geary's giveaway -- they gave away about 20 prizes to about 18 people so
our chances of winning something were pretty good.)
Details for tonight (Wednesday night):
Location: Molly's
Address for people from away: 46 Market Street, at Milk Street
Address for people from Portland: "you know -- where the old Squire
Morgan's used to be"
Time: 7:00 PM
There's an upstairs dining room and a downstairs tavern -- we'll be
downstairs.
See you tonight.
- Dan
