Wednesday Pub Night Portland #114 - 7:00 pm at Sebago Brewing in the Old Port
Back to the Pub Night home page
Fellow beer fans,
So - you've all seen the news, huh? Sebago Brewing Company owner, Kai Adams, invited us back to SBC. They're the third local brewery/brewpub to take an interest in our endeavours. Can you name the other two?
According to www.sebagobrewing.com, their beer is "lovingly handcrafted" on Market Street. I can't say that we disagree.
We've also got lots to celebrate as well --
* A few weeks ago we celebrated the end of Prohibition. Tomorrow we can commemorate its inception on January 16, 1919 (Not sure this is worthy of celebration - commemoration seems more appropriate.)
* Another significant, but not so celebratory event -- The beginning of the Persian Gulf war in 1991. Watched by many on TV. (Except for TV-less Dan who had to settle for reading about it in the papers.)
* Ethel Merman's birthday. Let's hope nobody gets inspired to do any impressions. Not that I think anybody in particular might even be thinking of such a thing, David.
Meet us at:
Sebago Brewing Company in the Old Port
Corner of Market & Middle Streets
7:00 PM
tomorrow, Wednesday, January 16, 2002
See you at PubNight.
- Dan
