Portland is finally turning into a winter wonderland, so what better place to cozy up with a bunch of friends than the Wine Bar, above the Cafe at Wharf Street. Sofas, a fireplace, and lots of wines by the glass. Sounds perfect to me! (Except for the wine part, of course.) And we have a birthday girl to thank for this weeks pick. Stop by and say happy birthday to Nona!
Looking back at the PubNight history, the last time we were at the Wine Bar was exactly a year ago today, 12/20/00. Guess it's the perfect place to escape all the holiday hub-bub. Except for David & Greg, who stopped in last year on their way to the mall. We can only hope they've learned their lesson (mall = bad, friends & drinks = good) and will stick around tonight.
I seem to remember they have snacks, but not dinner, so eat first and then join us for wine and munchies at 7:30. And you can always Xmas shop another night!
