Wednesday Pub Night Portland #108 - 7:00 pm at Norm's BBQ
Back to the Pub Night home page
So tonight's Final Jeopardy question was all about the
first incarnation of the yellow smiley face (recently
gobbled up by the marketeers of Wal*Mart). Anybody
happen to know this one off the top of their head? No
fair spending all day searching for the answer on the
Internet. Besides - you all have better ways to spend
your day.
Right?
In any case, to celebrate the 77th birthday of the
Macy's Thanksgiving day parade (first held in order to
lure people to Macy's new flagship store in Herald
Square) I thought it would be appropriate to get a
group of friends together and head out to a local pub.
What a novel idea, eh? (As they say in Canada.)
Kraig & Susan - denizens of the East End and
connoisseurs of Portland's restaurants - tell us that
the old (new) Norm's BBQ has re-opened. Not the old
old Norm's on Congress Street - but the old new Norm's
on Middle Street by the Jordan's hot dog plant. The
new new Norm's is no longer in the same spot that the
old new Norm's was - but rather it's next door where
the old Gabriel's used to be (moment of silence). So
come join us at the new new Norm's:
