These emails keep getting later and later don't they?
This week's PubNight:Portland is a bit of an odd one in that we're
meeting at a place that doesn't serve drinks. Don't worry though, we'll
make sure you get to quench your thirst at some point in the evening, if
you can last long enough.
Since a good deal of the PubNight regulars will be involved in the
upcoming production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum .
. . ", and since tonight's rehearsal might have otherwise precluded some
of us from attending PubNight, and since I for one will definitely need
a drink by the time rehearsal is done, we're going to convene PubNight
at:
Portland Players Thaxter Theater
The general game plan is to meet at the theater at 9:45 by which time
rehearsal should begin to be wrapping up. Once everything is done,
we'll all head to a pub in town and do the usual PubNight activities.
If you can't make it to the theater but want to join us afterwards, just
give me a call (450-4634) and let me know and I'll make sure to keep you
posted on our drinking spot for the night.
Directions to theater:
420 Cottage Road, South Portland
Take the bridge to South Portland
Go straight at the end of the bridge onto Broadway
Follow Broadway through about two traffic lights
At the third light make a right onto Cottage Road - this is NOT rotue
77, it's the turn after route 77 - there's a sign indicating the way to
"Portland Head Light" - this is the turn you want
You should see a big googly-eyed Jesus on your left as you turn onto
Cottage road (yes, I'm serious)
Follow Cottage Road up and over Meetinghouse Hill, the theater will be
on your left after the Texaco gas station.
